About the Event

As we continue our Virtual Wine & Food Tour on Saturday April 10, 2021, we return to Abruzzo, and explore the contrast of native grapes and wines from the Adriatic sea and from the mountains. We are featuring 4 wines from the artisan vineyards of Ferzo by the sea and Valle Reale in the mountains located where 3 National Parks converge. I am very excited about the unique and indigenous wines for this dinner and to perhaps introduce to many of you new grapes/wine you may have never had before. I was introduced to them on previous trips to Italy, and our visit to Villa Reale was more than memorable, more to come on that during the dinner. 

The wines are imported by Winebow Imports, and we welcome back as our Guest Speaker Marcello Palazzi, Portfolio Specialist, originally from Naples, Italy. Marcello now resides in Naples, Florida, where he will be for our dinner on Zoom, and we will enjoy his lively exchange of interesting information about the wines, foods and culture of Abruzzo. We have planned a very typical collection of Abruzzese foods/courses to pair with the wines. As always with our speakers, we really learn a lot during our virtual "trips" and have a lot of fun exploring new wines and foods.  

All courses will be prepared in advance (by Chef Alfredo of Osteria Alfredo's) so you only have to warm up the courses through the dinner, and just plate the dessert. Come join us as we immerse ourselves into this beautiful wine growing region in the central part of Italy and expand our palates to new wines and foods!

When you pick up your package you will be able to taste the Villa Reale Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2010 DOC very special wine, there are only 36 bottles left in the USA of this vintage available for orders from the dinner only. I shipped back the 2015 vintage of this wine and it is more than amazing, so this one should be incredible!
