About the Event

Love to cook and drink Italian wine? Want to learn about the differences between Valpolicella wines? Join us Saturday February 10th in one of three seatings offered starting at Noon with Marco Doria, Importer owner of Doria Wines, here just in from Italy, as we visit the Veneto region to learn all about Valpolicella wines, the difference between Valpolicella, Superiore, Ripasso and Amarone. You will taste 3 of them, including the big red of Veneto the Amarone. The wines are produced by one of their microwineries Doria represents and are all fabulous and unique, only 48 carses are produced of the Amarone. This will be a special learning and tasting experience of awesome food and wine. 

As Marco talks about the 3 wines and the foods chosen to pair for this event, he will show us how to cook the 2nd course, which we will then enjoy as the 2nd small plate of our 3 small plate/3 wines tasting experience. We will surely have another fun and informative experience. There are 3 seatings starting at 12 noon. Hope to see you for this event in our Mangia Building at 104 Railroad Ave. Salute! 

Marco Doria and Cristina Doria, brother and sister team, are the dynamic co-owners of Doria Wines, importers of exclusively microwinery wines. They focus only on vineyards in Italy that are microwineries with very limited production indigenous grapes only, all family owned and produced, and are new to the US market. Marco and Cristina are from Torino, Italy, though Cristina lives in Maryland now.
