Sample Saturdays: Free Wine Tasting with Resident Enophile, Linda Frey!

Are you a lover of Italian wines? In addition to our complimentary daily wine tastings, join us every Saturday as we introduce new wines to you from all over Italy. You will taste up to 3 wines that we will choose to offer to "expand your palate" and we will share food pairing ideas too!

Linda will be offering:

Villa Jolanda “I Love You” Vino Spumante Brut  – Light and straw colored with a fine and persistant perlage. It is intense, fine, and fruity on the nose with a fresh, pleasant, and persistence evident on the palate. Great as an aperitif or with light appetizers.

Bocelli Sangiovese IGT - Unoaked yet lush, this Tuscan classic positively sings with dark cherry, black tea, and berry compote. A touch of graphite and soy add to the juicy, crowd-pleasing palate. Enjoy on the daily with pasta dishes, chicken and pork.

Asotom – Ops! Grignolino - Murky, garnet colored with aromas of rose petals, rosehip and pomegranate. Spiced up nose leading to a saline, grainy tannic finish through a labyrinth sprinkled with wet leaves and pieces of a broken cigar box. Serve with olives, herbs, some spices and feta cheese, paired with spaghetti with tomatoes or even a mild pizza served with olives and herbs.

Calatroni Sangue di Guida –A bit of bubbles, alongside a powerfully fruity if tart content, all wrapped up in a semi-sweet finish. Offer with charcuterie, dried fruits or brownies.
