Sample Saturdays: Free Wine Tasting with Russ Lorber of Wide Roots!

Are you a lover of Italian wines? In addition to our complimentary daily wine tastings, join us every Saturday as we introduce new wines to you from all over Italy. You will taste up to 3 wines that we will choose to offer to "expand your palate" and we will share food pairing ideas too!

Russ will be offering:

Audarya Vermentino di Sardegna DOC – 100% Vermentino. A brilliant and complex wine for sipping. Vermentino is a traditional grape in Sardinia, and Audarya’s version is crisp, floral, and mineral with just a touch of baked bread. Excellent with seafood and soft cheese.

Audarya Monica di Sardegna – 100% Monica. Intense ruby, fresh with a pleasant softness, well-equilibrated. Great with pasta with grouper meat sauce, tuna steak or lamb stew.

Tenuta Valdipiatta Rosso di Montepulciano – 90% Sangiovese, 5% Cannaiolo, 5% Mammolo. This ruby red wine has opulent aromas of berries, including blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, over more subtle notes of wildflowers and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is elegant, with well-balanced tannins, vibrant acidity, and a smooth texture. Pair with herb grilled pork tenderloin, pasta arrabiata, Tuscan bean soup, and paella with chorizo.

Ghiga Moscato d’Asti DOCG – 100% Moscato. Perfect for dessert, or celebration. This effervescent wine has a complex fruit profile, with citrus, melon, and stone fruit, complemented by characters of honey and ginger. Add a little sweet sparkle to your life!
