About the Event

Are you a lover of Italian wines? In addition to our complimentary daily wine tastings, join us every Saturday as we introduce new wines to you from all over Italy. You will taste up to 3 wines that we will choose to offer to "expand your palate" and we will share food pairing ideas too!

Russ will be offering:

Pietro Nera “La Novella” Nebbiolo Bianco Alpi Retiche IGT - White wine from Nebbiolo? Certainly! This blend of Nebbiolo (80%), Chardonnay, and locally historic Rossola comes from the Valtellina region of Italy, near the Swiss border. Crisp, fresh fruit and delicate minerality. Pair with risotto, young cheese, cured meats, and an outdoor view.

Audarya Vermentino di Sardegna DOC – 100% Vermentino. The sip is savoury and with a slight almond finish, in a centered and enjoyable context. Pair with fregola (Sardinian pasta) with tellin, roasted fish, shellfish, fresh pecorino (Italian sheep’s milk cheese).

Luciano Landi Gavigliano Lacrima di Morro d' Alba Superiore – 100% Lacrima. It has an intense aroma of fresh cut violets. There are dark cherry and blackberry fruit components, the floral note, and just the right amount of balance from the oak, with vanilla and cinnamon/clove. It is medium bodied with smooth tannin, and can be served with a bit of chill on it if desired. Best served with a traditional Marche cacciatore, made with fresh herbs, garlic, and olive oil (and no tomatoes), with chicken or rabbit parts braised in wine.

Paolo Pizzorni Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG: 100% Brachetto. Lush and velvety! Fresh strawberry and raspberry characters are the signature of this wine, which works particularly well with hazelnuts and chocolate. The effervescence lightens the body and complements the sweetness.

Which one will you like best? Let us know!

We hope to see you at Simpatico to explore our amazing wines, foods, gifts and more from every region in Italy! Cin Cin!
