Sample Saturdays: Free Wine Tasting with Vincenzo Schiano of Impero Wines

Are you a lover of Italian wines? In addition to our complimentary daily wine tastings, join us every Saturday as we introduce new wines to you from all over Italy. You will taste up to 3 wines that we will choose to offer to "expand your palate" and we will share food pairing ideas too!

Vincenzo will be offering:

Poggio le Volpi People Frascati Superiore DOCG – Malvasia/Trebbiano. Bright pale yellow. On the nose reminds pear and green apple, then elderflower, grass and white flowers. Mainly fresh and tasty, fruity and easy to drink with a long persistence. Pairs well with sea food starter, risotto, different preparations with fish, fresh spreadable cheeses.

Poggio le Volpi People Cesanese IGP – 100% Cesanese. Deep and bright ruby red. Intense on the nose with sensations of ripe red fruits, cherries in alcohol, red flower and spicy notes. Smooth in the mouth, pleasantly tannic, well balanced, and very long in fruity persistence.

Casa E. Di Mirafiore Pietra Magica Langhe Rosso – 100% Nebbiolo. A uniquely full bodied expression of Nebbiolo’s wild strawberry fruit, iron earthy notes, wonderfully vibrant acidity and fine grained tannins, all with the addition of depth and added body from time on Barbera grape skins.

Calatroni Sangue di Guida- – Barbera, Croatina and Uva Rara. A bit of bubbles, alongside a powerfully fruity if tart content, all wrapped up in a semi-sweet finish. Offer with charcuterie, dried fruits or brownies.
