About the Event

Two packages still available!!

Join us on Saturday January 16th for our next Zoom Wine Dinner, as we continue our virtual tour of Italy wines and foods, and we visit Emilia-Romagna, considered one of the richest regions of Italy with regard to its gastronomic and wine-making traditions. Lambrusco is the most famous wine of the region, and Its history goes back centuries to when the Etruscans cultivated the vine in the Emilia part of the region. If you have only ever tasted sweet Lambruscos, you will be in for a taste treat and education for this evening's program - our featured winery, LINI 910 is celebrated for their fresh, food-friendly, and traditional dry style of Lambrusco wines. The wines are paired with famous foods of Emilia-Romagna for the dinner.

Lini 910 is a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated winery, founded in 1910. Lini has produced some of Emilia's leading wines including the first-ever Lambrusco included in Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of Italy; the Lini family and its wines were just recently featured in the December issue of Food & Wine magazine https://www.foodandwine.com/wine-regions/lambrusco-lini-santa-lucia. Located in Correggio, the winery is 10 miles northeast of Reggio Emilia, and falls into the Reggiano appellation. Their Lambrusco Reggiano DOC is labeled Labrusca, after the native variety’s earliest known designation. The Labrusca grape goes back to Etruscan times, meaning around 800 BC!

Come join us as we explore this famous wine and food region of Italy and enjoy authentic Lambrusco wines from this innovative winery. When Lini’s wines landed in New York in 2006, they were the first dry Lambruscos that many Americans had ever tasted. We are excited to welcome back our Guest Speaker, Marcello Palazzi, Portfolio Specialist, Winebow Imports, who is originally from the Naples area of Italy, who will be guiding us through the wines and foods of the evening.

Here's our menu of typical regional courses paired with the Lini 910 wines:

Note: If you need a substitution for gluten free, vegetarian, or other allergy, we can accommodate, just let us know😊
