About the Event

Join us in our outdoor courtyard Saturday October 23rd as we introduce to you to new wines from the Umbria, Tuscany and Abruzzo Regions. Come meet Noah Stevens, Executive Director of Global Wines Maryland, as we visit these regions with fabulous wines for you to taste.

About the wines, taste any 3:

Terre de la Custodia Montefalco Grechetto DOC 2019: Intense straw-yellow color tending to golden. The nose has the typical scent of yellow peaches, citrus fruit, and broom flowers. In the mouth it is appreciated for its freshness and pleasing softness. Serve with truffle first courses, spiced chicken, and baked fish.

Tenute Barone di Valforte Pecorino Colli Aprutini IGT: A white variety that doles out notes of lemongrass and wet stone, talcum and crunchy tree fruits layered with honeycomb. Pair with salty snacks like almonds and olives, creamy lemony sauces and dressings, fish and tangy goat or sheep milk cheeses.

Terre de la Custodia Montefalco Rosso DOC 2018: Intense and deep ruby red with purple hues and intense scents of plum, violets and a menthol note in the finale. A full-bodied wine with good roundness, velvety and elegant. Pair with rich pasta dishes, pork and game.

Castelli Martinozzi Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2018: Vinous aromas of crushed red berry carry over to the easygoing palate, along with star anise. Relaxed tannins and fresh acidity provide light support. Pair with anything from pizza to filet mignon. We hope to see you at Simpatico in our outdoor courtyard "Piazza" to explore these amazing wines! Cin Cin!
